Eagle Towing and Mullins Racing Team Up for Racers for Relief at Dominion Raceway
FREDERICKSBURG, VA – Eagle Towing, Mullins Racing and Papa John’s will head up a Racers for Relief drive at Dominion Raceway on Thursday night to help those affected by Hurricane Florence.
Fans who attend the Virginia Lottery 100, which will commence on September 20th, are asked to bring non-perishable foods and other basic supplies. These supplies will be sent to the Carolinas to help those who have been impacted from the devastating flooding in North Carolina brought on by Hurricane Florence.
“We got very lucky in Virginia to miss the bulk of Hurricane Florence, so we felt we needed to do something to help out those who weren’t as lucky,” Dinah Mullins of Mullins Racing said. “Al Chewning from Eagle Towing approached us about helping with a food and supply drive and we jumped at the chance. Dominion Raceway has a big race coming up Thursday night, it’s the perfect opportunity to do it. Papa John’s has stepped up and will be giving out pizza coupons to anyone who donates. A lot of fellow racers have been affected by this storm, we want them to know the racing community is here for them.”
Supplies can also be dropped off before the race at Bugsy’s Auto at 10906 Houser Drive in Fredericksburg or at Insurance Auto Auction at 15 Leeway Drive in Fredericksburg.
Many of those affected by the storm include members of the racing community from Carteret County Speedway in Swansboro, North Carolina.
The Virginia Lottery 100 will take place on Thursday, September 20th at Dominion Raceway in Thornburg, Virginia. Dominion Raceway is located eight off Interstate 95 Exit 118.
